Below are simple descriptions for terminology used across this public documentation. If uncommon concepts and phrases are used somewhere, you should find an explanation for what they mean below.

MEV

Maximal Extractable Value, historically called Miner Extractable Value, is the generic term for any form of value that can be extracted from any form of system by simply exploiting any given rule within the game that is being played.

Permissionless

Free to access and participate for anyone without arbitrary restrictions.

Random Truth Sampling

The process by which real world events are independently verified. A random selection of users is asked to verify events as they happened in the real world. Honest behaviour will be rewarded. Dishonest behaviour will be punished.

Zero Knowledge Proofs

A method to proof a fact without revealing its underlying information, e.g. proving to be a citizen without revealing a passport document as a whole.
